Their names are Jenn Alva, Phanie and Nina Diaz. They're from San Antonio and they form the rock band Girl in a Coma.

Jenn and Phanie met while in junior high and were soon dreaming of rock star fame. Come to find out, Nina, Phanie's hermanita, had her own rock star dreams too.

For the past six years, the girls have been writing their own songs, performing together and, more importantly, attracting the attention of some big names in the music industry who can help make their dreams come true — Joan Jett ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks to this much-deserved attention, these young chicanas now have their first CD.
